The protocolling

This is an excerpt of the daily protocol. Here you will initially find a column for the timestamp and then the address followed by the actual event. The following events are automatically logged:

• Switch on
• Switch off
• Load warning 70 % incoming / outgoing)
• Load warning 100 % incoming / outgoing)
• Trips
• Node failure on the PROFIBUS
• Circuit-breaker failure

The corresponding trip cause is also specified with trip events. If current was flowing at the time of the trip, the value of the current in each individual phase at the time of the event is also documented. The data server creates a protocol file for each day.

How is the file now transferred to the selected PC?

By simply using FTP (file transfer protocol). Large quantities are transferred on the Internet using this protocol. It is also used here. The browser does not just take care of the visualisation tasks, it can also assume the file transport tasks via FTP.

Excel provides all the features required for a visualization system in tabular or graphic format.
