ARMS™ world innovation offers more safety for maintenance staff

If the IZM is equipped with the new and patented ARMS™ system (Arcflash Reduction Maintenance System), in the event of an arc-fault the trip unit breaks instantaneously. The breaking is even faster than that of an instantaneous short-circuit trip. This function can be activated on the circuitbreaker or with an external switch, e.g. when maintenance staff enter a danger zone.

The arc-fault protection system can be extended in stages through other components from the ARCON protection system in conjunction with the IZM range.
